Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month – Nutrition Workshop

This workshop will be a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. We will explore the Hispanic “Food Pyramid”, culturally relevant foods including staple foods and common foods found in different Latin/Hispanic regions/countries worldwide, and how they are prepared. There will be a cooking demonstration that highlights some of the foods we will discuss during the workshop.

Food Safety Workshop

Long Island Cares’ food safety workshops teach participants about safe food handling, storage, and sanitation. At the end of the workshop, participants earn a one-year food safety certificate.
